A large number of children in Nepal do not finish high school due to poverty. The STS program (STS = short term scholarship) has been set up to support students in their final years of school. We offer a short-term interest-free scholarship, with annual school fees and books being paid. In order to allow a student to go to school for a year, 60 euros is needed. These students live at home during their studies. Once the students have finished their education as well as a follow-up education, they will have an income allowing them to pay back their loans. Several students have repaid their loan and have received a certificate for that. With the paid back loans, we can support more children. Every year there are about 60 students participating in this program.
